TFMS Release.............. Tajima is pushing the boundaries of innovation in embroidery with its latest machine, the TFMS Shuttle Hook. Using new technology that replaces the traditional rotary hook used in embroidery machines with a shuttle hook, this specialty embroidery machine can sew with much bigger threads and yarns than ever before.
Each of the 15 needles can be threaded with a different weight or denier yarn that opens up the doors to creating brand new looks and effects. Mix and match thread types to create texture and dimension on a wide range of apparel. You can now use threads that previously were only used for chain stitching or chenille. Choose from wools, polyesters, cottons, and rayon’s, virtually any available type of thread is compatible up to 900 denier, which is approximately three times the thickness of a traditional 40 weight thread.
The TFMS Shuttle Hook machine also saves on stitch counts because now instead of increasing the density of a stitch and going back and forth over an area to fill it, you simply use a thicker thread. For the fashion and sportswear markets, you can create raw, handmade, crafty looking designs that are not available anywhere else.
The machine has all of the great features offered on all M Series Tajima machines such as a user-friendly colour LCD panel, upper and lower thread-break detectors, quick change-over from tubular to caps, automatic upper and lower thread trimmers and noise reduction features for quiet operation.
The rotary tension device automatically detects and indicates top or bottom thread breakage, immediately stopping the machine and preventing missed stitches. Cut back on downtime with the exclusive take-up lever guard, which prevents thread from tangling during sewing operation. The variable thread tension system adjusts thread tension automatically to ensure a smooth feed from cone to needle for clean embroidery at high speeds.

New head and hook auto lubrication system................ As well as standard lubrication to heads, Tajima now offer the world’s first head and rotary hook lubrication system that works for improved productivity and maintenance-free operation.
USB readers for older serial and parallel machines..................... Computers are not supporting floppy disks any longer making them practically obsolete.
This unit can help you add USB capability while still being able to use the floppy disk
with your current Tajima embroidery machine.
Floppy disks hold only 430,000 stitches, while a 256K USB can hold 83 million stitches. Hook this up to your Tajima machine and never let a large file size limit you again.
The Tajima USB Linker comes with a 1GB memory stick.

Maintenance tip..................... How often should I clean underneath the needle plates?
With the newer style universal needle plate’s people tend not to remove the needle plates when performing maintenance on their machines. When enough of the tails build up, the knives will not open to cut the thread. In addition, if enough lint builds up behind the knives they may not fully retract after trimming so that the needle passage is blocked. The end result is a broken needle and possible a broken knife.
Remember to remove the needle plates once a week during the cleaning portion of your maintenance schedule and brush or blow out the thread tails.
